How to Make your characters sound like people: Who are they talking to?

In this post I made a video about the different dialogue your characters can have when talking to different types of people such as their mom vs a child or a friend.

What I cover:

  • Why recognizing the shift in what your characters say is important to the story
  • Examples of what your characters might say or not say to other characters depending on their comfort level
  • Why your characters changing what they say or not say around other people isn’t a bad thing

Here is the video and please let me know what you think.
