Why I Will Always Remember 2012

This year means a lot to me because it’s the first year I became a published author. It’s also the year I founded Learn As You Write, which has now become a consistent part of my life. This is where I not only give tips and advice about writing but where I am presenting myself to the readers of my fiction as well.

I think we all have goals each new year to be better than the year before but I’ll be honest, I did NOT plan to have a book published and a blog in 2012 at the end of 2011. It actually wasn’t until April 2012 that I even became interested in making another blog since two of my blogs in the past were a failure.

Thanks to Joanna Penn from thecreativepenn.com I gained plenty of tips about how to blog and how to publish my book. THEN I had a goal for 2012.

My goals for 2013 will be even greater than it was this year and I can’t wait to achieve them. I know that once you figure out the WHAT the HOW will come about later. I learned this from Michael Hyatt at MichaelHyatt.com.

I think the main reason I was able to reach my goal of publishing a book and creating a blog was done because of my constant absorption of knowledge of the indie publishing world. I couldn’t get enough information whether it was from blogs, youtube, ebooks, or whatever. I felt, and I still feel, that I could never learn enough, which is true.

I have two books planned to come out next year and I’m so excited be able to sell directly to my readers. These books are stories that I’ve had in my head since I was 11 years old and each time I think about them the overall story gets better.

Even if you don’t achieve everything you set out to achieve in 2012 or 2013 you have something to be thankful for. We all move one step at a time towards our goal and long as we keep aiming high and keep taking it one step at a time we’re gonna reach our goals and achieve our dreams no matter what.

My dream was to have my book published and my dream came true this year. I have more dreams to publish all of my books and I plan to achieve them as well. If not next

Writers should be willing to help each other and that’s what I aim for in this blog, to help writers like myself achieve the goal they set out for themselves.

Thanks for following the blog so far and we’re in for a wonderful year in 2013. 🙂
